Kayaking

Kalipayan is located at Coral Bay, which is a marine resource conservation area fringed by a 14-hectare mangrove forest. Take a sea kayak to explore the mangrove waterways or visit the island's many secluded beaches.

Snorkeling

From the Kalipayan pier, plunge directly into the middle of a vast coral reef which boasts hundreds of species of colourful marine life.

Diving

Venture down into the mysterious depths to explore the world famous WWII "Wrecks of Coron" and their abundant marine life. Experience the unique thermal layers of the Barracuda Lake and the many stunning local reefs of the Calamianes. For more information see our recommended dive operators.

Fishing

Charter a boat for a fishing expedition or simply drop a line in off the island's main pier to catch local delicacies such as Lapu Lapu (coral trout).

Trekking

Hike up the hill behind Kalipayan to capture a breathtaking 360-degree view of the surrounding islands or take a stroll at sunset along the mangrove walk to adjoining beaches. Local guides are also available for visits to the nearby fishing village.

Island Hopping Tours

From the lizard-shaped Maltatayok island to Pamalican and its white sand beaches, a day of island hopping is a great way to take in the local sights. Day trips can also be arranged to nearby islands such as Cuilion with its historic church and museum.
